POYNTON BREEZE CYCLE GROUP

Breeze is a British Cycling initiative to encourage more ladies into cycling.

Breeze is social, fun and usually ends up in a coffee shop.  So if you are a keen cyclist or if you fancy dusting your bike down that’s been sitting in the garage for ages then get it serviced and come and join us! You will need a helmet and a bike and to sign up to the let’s ride website in order to book rides.

U3A HISTORY GROUP

Monthly

Poynton

Geoff Reason and Geoff Hague are both members of a U3A History group.  This group meets monthly to discuss a range of historical topics from William the Conquerer to the Crusades.  Members must be first members of Poynton U3A.

Incidentally, the phrase ‘chatting’ came from the trenches in the Great War where soldiers would sit talking and helping to pick lice (in Punjabi, chats) off each other. Think of that when you are next chatting with a friend!”
