We have a fully equipped community facility for use by the local community and businesses. From business conferences to exercise classes, we can facilitate a lot of events and activities. The Hockley Centre has disabled facilities, as well as an elevator to access the 1st floor with a fully fitted kitchen.

Due to the sprung dance floor and fully air-conditioned halls, the building provides a regular home for a number of dance schools, fitness classes and music groups catering for all age groups.

I was trained by Cherry Baker, one of the UK’s Leading Pilates practitioners and hold the highest qualification available in mat based Pilates.

My name is Amanda Holding and I run pilates and dance fitness classes.  

If you're looking to improve your strength, mobility and flexibility pilates is a great class to try.  It can help reduce aches and stiffness, make you stronger and more flexible with enhanced mobility.

My classes are limited in the number of participants so I can give you individual attention. They're ideal if you're recovering from injury or have a joint or back issue. 

If you're looking for a fun, friendly dance fitness class that's low impact with no jumping or twisting try 'Easy Latin Dance Fit'.  This class will help you keep fit, meet new people and feel happy.
Learn easy dance steps to Latin and ballroom rhythms like tango, salsa, flamenco and jive. Burn calories, improve mobility and enhance balance.  Meet new friends! HAVE FUN!

Step Ahead Dance School has been established in Poynton for over 12 years. 

We are a dance school that offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street for all ages.

We follow the NATD and RAD syllabus with children having the opportunity to take exams and perform in shows.

I’m Fiona a qualified Zumba® Fitness and Zumba Gold® Instructor.  I have danced all my life and (in the past) qualified to teach NATD, ballet, tap and modern. I know first hand the benefits of dance exercise and I love teaching the Zumba® program.

 

Zumba Gold® has been created for the over 50s, beginners, those who have medical or joint problems, recovering from injury or surgery, who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves of Zumba® Fitness dance exercise at lower-intensity.

 

The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. It is a great way to improve balance, strength, flexibility and most importantly, the functions of the heart whilst moving to fabulous Latin based music.
