In-Person Services to start in the next few weeks

Can I reserve a seat by telephone?

Definitely.  Our preference is that you book yourself online.  However, you can also ask your Connect Group Leader or a PCF friend to book you a seat.  Lastly, if that fails, phone the church office and speak to
Chris on: 01625 859170 (Tues, Wed & Thurs only)

Who attends your church?

Whether you’re young or a senior adult, single, or married with or without kids, you’ll feel encouraged by the authentic community we have here at PCF Church.  You can visit as many times as you want without any obligations or pressure.  And who knows—you just might decide to make PCF Church your new church home! As you plan your visit, here are some things to know.

Unfortunately, the government guidance restricts mixing & chatting outside of your family bubble at present, so the cafe is closed.

What is the worship like?

We begin each service with vibrant, contemporary Christian music led by our PCF Worship team.  Whether you lift your hands in praise and sing along or stand in quiet reflection, we hope you’ll feel God’s presence.

If situations restrict attendance, we may use worship videos or make use of a live worship team in our in-person services.

What kind of message/preaching will I hear?

You’ll hear an encouraging Bible-based message by our Pastors.  We also have some regular gifted local speakers on occasion  who will share an uplifting message.

If situations restrict attendance, we may make use a pre-recorded sermon our pastors.

Do I need to register to attend a service?

Yes, reserving a seat a few days beforehand helps us prepare and keep you safe within the guidance set out by the government for places of worship.

What should I wear?

At PCF Church, you’ll see everything from suits to T-shirts and shorts.  Wear what makes you feel comfortable—you’re among family here!

Don't forget to bring your face mask - we will have spare masks available should you have forgotten yours.

How long is the service?

Our in-person services finish promptly around 90 minutes (approximates 60 for online services).

Unfortunately, we are not able to end with an opportunity for you to receive prayer and one-on-one ministry from a trained staff member or volunteer on our prayer team during the pandemic, but please email us and one of our pastoral team will contact you to pray with you.

We're thinking about your safety

KEEPING YOU SAFE

Your health, wellbeing and safety are of paramount importance to us,
so we’ve implemented a number of changes in our buildings to ensure your peace of mind:

  • The church building has been deep cleaned and disinfected and we’ve introduced a regime that includes a higher frequency of cleaning.

  • All of our activities and meetings have been COVID risk assessed.

  • PCF staff and volunteer teams have been fully trained.

  • We’re providing PPE for all staff and our volunteer teams.

  • At the entry point to our buildings we will be taking everyone's temperatures.

  • At various points around the building you will find hand sanitisation stations.

  • Inside our church building we will operate one way system.

  • We have set out socially distanced seating within all of our meeting spaces.

  • Between services and after every activity our venues are cleaned and disinfected.

  • All of our HELPS team members and congregation members will be required to wear face-masks.

  • Entry to our Sunday Service requires pre-booking, and will comply with “Track and Trace” guidelines, and we have limited the capacity in the main auditorium.

In doing our part to create a safe environment for you to visit, we are also asking for you to comply with the measures that we have put in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Baby Feeding

If you are attending with a baby, please ask a member of the team that is serving and they will direct you to where you can feed. Please note that this space will be open but on a limited capacity.

Before and After the Service

In keeping with Government guidelines for Places of Worship, we are currently unable to open the foyers, cafes or the usual areas of connection that you’ll be used to.  Entrance and exiting of the building will be directed by our Helps team and we respectfully ask for you to abide by any instructions or requests made of you by our team.

Likewise, if you have been in close contact with a person that has been diagnosed or is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay at home and watch PCF online church services.

In addition, if you have returned from international travel or have been in close contact with someone that has just returned from international travel in the last 14 days, please stay at home.

If any of these apply to you, please let our pastoral team know as we want to support you however we can.

Face Masks

Unless you have been given exemption for medical reasons you will be asked to wear a face-mask to attend in-person PCF Church services. This is in line the most up to date Government guidance for Places of Worship.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Giving

With generosity being an integral part of our culture at PCF Church we wanted to make giving as simple as possible for everyone. We’re still encouraging everyone to give online via our giving page, however, at each of our in-services there will be an offering station which will be situated at the back of the auditorium as you leave.

Unfortunately, we can’t currently allow time for queuing, so please ask one of our team for a giving envelope as you are shown to your seats and take some time to prepare your giving.

Thank you church!

Your giving is making such a difference to the Kingdom of God.

Hygiene

The church has been deep cleaned and disinfected. The frequency of our cleaning has been increased, plus all surfaces will be sanitised between services.

The church bathroom facilities are open, however, there might be limited availability.

If you aren’t well on the day we ask that you stay home and watch PCF Church online. Please do not attend our venues or someone else’s home if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Unless you have been given exemption for medical reasons you will be asked to wear a face-mask to attend our church services.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

One-Way-System

The church will be operating a one way systems with separate entrances and exits. This is in place for your safety and we ask that you respect any requests made of you by our team.

Personal Prayer

Social distancing means that we will not be able to facilitate times of ministry at the front or engage in the practice of laying on hands whilst praying. Though this is a current restriction, don’t let it stop you letting us know if you require prayer or if you want to talk with us further – you can still do this by emailing us prayer@pcfpoynton.com, and our pastoral team will get back to you.

Social Distancing

We’ve arranged the auditoriums at PCF Church in accordance with the Government’s latest social distancing guidelines.
The guidelines are clear that you should not mingle with anyone outside of your household or support group.

As so, family units will be seated together and we ask that in the instance that you bring children with you that you look after them at all times and keep them within your space.

Hard as it will be, it also means that our spaces are hug free zones!  We appreciate that you may meet people that you haven’t seen in months or are close to, but respectfully ask that you follow this guidance.

Test & Trace

In booking a seat to attend a PCF Church in-person service you agree that your details may be shared with NHS Test and Trace in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.

For more information please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Seating

We have limited the capacity of our venues so that we can create a safe and socially distanced experience.  To ensure you get a seat, we’re going to require you to reserve a seat online before you come to church.  We would ask you only to book tickets that you will use to make sure that someone else doesn’t miss out.  We also ask that you give yourself plenty of time before the service starts to allow us to check you in and then to seat you.

Toilets

PCF Church has bathroom facilities, however, these will be open with limited availability.

If you are attending a meeting with children and they need to use the facilities, we ask that you accompany them.

Worship

The worship in the auditorium could either be live or via video, however, in keeping with the current Government guidelines, we will not be singing out loud when we gather together.

We thank you in advance for your compliance with this request.
